Shayetet 13

Shayetet 13 is the elite naval commando unit of the Israeli Navy. The unit is considered one of the primarySpecial Forces units of the Israel Defence Forces (along with Sayeret Matkal and Shaldag Unit). S'13 specializes in sea-to-land incursions, counter-terrorism, sabotage, maritime intelligence gathering, maritime hostage rescue, and boarding. The details of most Shayetet 13 missions are highly secretive, and the identities of operatives are kept classified. The unit is respected as among the best of the world’s special forces and is often compared to the US Navy SEALs and Britain's Special Boat Service.
The training of Shayetet 13 recruits lasts 20 months. The training phase consists of:
  • Six months of basic and advanced infantry training with other IDF units.
  • Three weeks of parachuting training at the IDF Parachuting School.
  • Three months of preparing phase. This phase consists of advanced infantry and weapons training, maritime warfare, operation of small vessels, long swims and marches, and demolition.
  • Dedicated phase. This phase of training lasts about a year and includes training in diving techniques, underwater demolition, sea-to-land incursions. This phase also includes three weeks of training at the IDF counter-terror school and instructions in maritime counter-terror operations. For instance, boarding of vessels, oil rigs and near-coast buildings.
Upon completion of their training the recruits are assigned to one of the three specialized units based on their capabilities and personal interests. Further training may include cross training with foreign special units such as the US Navy Seals.

Palsar 7

The Israeli Armor Corps is a corps of the Israel Defense Forces, since 1998 subordinate to GOC Army Headquarters. The Armor Corps is the principal maneuvering corps, and primarily bases its strength on Main Battle Tanks. The Armor Corps is the decisive corps in GOC Army Headquarters, and bases its "crushing power" on its "fists of steel": a combination of mobility, armor, and firepower. During wars, its role is, on the one hand, to lead the first line of the attacking forces and to clear the area of the enemy, while on the other hand, to block the armor forces of the enemy and to destroy its tanks and armor. During peacetime, it reinforces the Infantry Corps while it performs security tasks, with the tanks serving as a mobile bunker.

Maglan

Maglan. (Also known as Unit 212 or Sayeret Maglan) is an Israeli special forces unit which specializes in .operating behind enemy lines and Deep in enemy territory using advanced technologies and weaponry
The IDF keeps the unit's designated missions a secret and gives no information about it or the operations in which the Unit takes part. Maglan only became publicly known in 2006. Very little is known about the unit, only that the unit performs arrests and assassinations of high value persons and that the unit specializes in camoflauge and stealth operations behind enemy lines, deep within hostile territory. Like Sayeret Matkal, although the troops in the unit wear a red beret and brown combat boots and conduct basic training at one of the paratroopers bases, they are not part of the Paratroopers. Maglan has a 25 months training program, a lot cadeds drop out due to the nature of the harsh program. Similarly to Sayeret Matkal, Maglan answers to the IDF's General Staff and not one of its regional commands.
Maglan is a relatively new unit. It has been deployed on SCUD hunting missions in Iraq during the First Gulf War in 1991.
During the Second Lebanon War, the unit took part in many operations and achieved great successes. During Operation Beach-Boys, the unit operated in the western coastal strip of Lebanon, and destroyed 250 targets, among them 40 rocket launchers.
